After each dental case, Dr. Greene completes an itemized dental chart that functions as a medical record (with a copy provided to the owner) as well as an itemization for the cost of the dental care provided on that day. The average cost for annual preventative dental care is $225 – $250 (plus call fee) depending on the individual and their dental needs.
The Dental Preventive Care Program was developed to provide an affordable plan that ensures as small issues develop with the horse’s teeth, they are addressed before they have the opportunity to compromise the individual or result in symptomatic behavior.
If our patients are seen within Dr. Greene’s recommended time frame (typically 1 year), their future routine preventive care won’t exceed $190 plus call fee (the call fee varies depending on location and number of horses to be treated). This includes the exam, an NSAID injection, initial sedation and routine preventive care/floating. It does not include the call fee or costs associated with extractions, diagnostics or other procedures.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, feel free to give Dr. Greene a call.
